GUIDANCE ON COGNITIVE TRAINING

An initial session to explore which cognitive skills the person would like to work on, the situations in which the main difficulties arise, or the cognitive maintenance goals they would like to achieve.
From there, the most appropriate approach is defined.

ASSESSMENT OF COGNITIVE

The assessment provides a more in-depth understanding of how different cognitive processes function and establishes a starting point for subsequent work.

It can be useful both when specific difficulties are present and when someone wishes to gain a better understanding of their own cognitive profile before starting a training programme.

Objective: to identify strengths and areas requiring greater support in order to define individualised goals.

COGNITIVE TRAINING PROGRAMME

An individualised programme designed to work systematically on specific cognitive skills.

The content, goals, and level of difficulty are adapted to the person’s age and individual needs.

The training can address specific difficulties as well as help maintain and support cognitive abilities over time. It also aims to ensure that the strategies developed can be applied to everyday, academic, or professional situations.

WORKING ON COGNITIVE SKILLS WITH SPECIFIC GOALS

Cognitive training is based on each person’s individual needs and goals.
It can focus on skills such as attention, memory, planning, cognitive flexibility, processing speed, or information organisation.
For adults, it is a way to keep different cognitive abilities active and support cognitive health over time.

Adults with specific or temporary difficulties who are seeking professional support for their daily life

Children and adolescents, with or without a diagnosis, who are experiencing challenges that affect the way they learn, relate to others, or organize themselves

Thanks to recent advances in fMRI (functional magnetic resonance imaging), we now know much more about how the brain learns and communicates. This is why, in our interventions, we work on the cognitive processes that underpin learning and language —such as memory, attention, executive functions, phonological awareness and processing speed— to achieve real and lasting change.
